WHAT IS THE LEVITATION PROJECT?
It”s more than just a company….. It’s a movement….. A collective of talented artist, athletes, designers, photographers and cinematographers. This is not something that just happens over night. It takes years of hard work and dedication. It takes loyalty and most importantly commitment. It has been more than difficult, and a challenge, every step of the way. More often than not we were told that our ideas and our values were too different and would never work. That our lack of convention and acceptance of diversity would be our down fall. These comments only provided us with the determination to work that much harder. This feedback became our greatest strength.
For the past 3 years we have spent 100% of our time defining the name and the brand before we ever offered anything to the public. It was far more important to solidify our identity and our brand before we thought about ever making a profit. We invested our time, blood, sweat and tears to bring this movement to life.
Our lives are all based in one common pursuit…….To travel the world and do what we love. This is the driving force that allows us to put in endless hours and make the sacrifices needed to succeed. Dealing with months on the road, less than desirable conditions, countless injuries and just basic survival, we have learned to be patient. It is well worth the effort because when it all comes together in that one calculated moment… there is nothing more rewarding in this world.

I just got home from an amazing run in the gorgeouks sunshine outside on a chillaxious Friday and I was once again reminded of how beautiful and easy our lives are.
We spend so much time complaining and bickering about basically non-existent problems and sometimes we forget how awesome it is to be here. Sure, tragedies do exist (check out the drunk driving thread for some sad examples), but generally life is easy. If those young adults who were killed by drunk drivers were able to speak from the grave, the first thing they’d say is that life is short, so enjoy it. They really are proof of how short it can be.
Some personal examples of my life being beautifuul:
-Just spend a week in Canmore helping paint my friend’s million dollar home, while mountain biking, drinking, and getting free room and board. And I even got paid for it!
-Lost my wallet three times so far. Everytime it has been returned. One time I lost it in Edmonton with $70 cash inside, and when it was returned the cash was still in it! (minor miracle, especially in Edmonton!)
-Lost my passport in NZ while on a crazy adventurxe. Got my new passport in the mail the day before my flight back to Canada!
-The economy is finally starting to turn around. So far this week I’ve saved about $200 in travel expenses thanks to the rising Canadian dollar!
-Going to Spain in September for $116 thanks to cmyden and his amazinrg travel deal!
-And we can all agree that the Flames getting Bouwmeester for nothing is something we as a group can celebrate! nn2hfg

I figure I will be doing alot of boarding over in New Zealand in a week or two and I have a couple of competitions coming up at Perisher & Thredbo that I have been lucky enough to snag a place in.
