The fact that we are not doing the full retail thing and with the snow being so good in Utah we decided to just do a quick trip to Denver and meet up with Bode and the crew at the Fillmore for the TWS RIDERS POLL AWARDS.
Matty Mo,Austen Granger and B doubling up for the awards….It’s not VEGAS but we tried to make it feel like it was!
Bode was nominated for two awards…one for his mind blowing part in Absinthe’s Neverland and the the other was for RIDER OF THE YEAR. With a solid crew there to support him the night was picking up speed really fast. Bode,Austen,Stevens,Ted,Timmy and B were getting primed!!!
Unfortunately Bode didn’t win but we sent it like he did anyway. Just being nominated with such a heavy crew like GIGI, JOHN J, PAT MOORE was reason enough to give it our all and celebrate for his nomination.
AUSTEN GRANGER is newly single and this was another reason to celebrate and the reason for his friends welcoming him back to the real world.
MATTY MO letting the bus driver know its ok to sticker the window!! We got on a bus with GIGI who took us to the PIRATES movie premier but the bar was…..
REALLY SHITTY!!!!!
We drank a few free beers and got the hell out of there…sorry Gigi but that place was sketchy to say the least.
This was one of about 5 cab trains we were involved with through out the night and we apologize for any cab drive that had to deal with us because we just got shittier and shittier as the night went on. AUSTEN letting the world know that he was FREE and back from the DEAD!!!
Next stop was a club that the RZA was playing at and this round got us going. After half the crew rushed the door and the other half snuck in through the kitchen we were ready to get it going. This round was the one that lit it up!!! PATRON!!!

WYATT CALDWELL joined the crew just in time for us to start getting REAL LOOSE!!!
Thanks to MATTY MO for providing BODE’s alternate trophy for the night. BOBA FET is a great substitute for a piece of glass.
No acceptance speech but he seemed pretty stoked about it!!!!
Tim had just hit his head really hard after he and Austen started rumbling outside. This was the first of many head blows for Tim over the next few hours.
DCP and WYATT ready for another round. We took a 5-6 cab train to the next party. Think it was was SPACECRAFT party at a warehouse.
For some reason AUSTEN was carried around every where we went. If you notice he has lost his a shoe at this point but judging by the look on his face he doesn’t seem to mind!!
B was ready for a good time. Cutting up a rug and claimin it!!!
Sometime around 4 am? Things are getting blurry. Timmy,Nico,Bode,Austen and B closing it down!!!

CHRIS BERESFORD knocks AUSTEN one in the jaw and that was the last pic of the night!! All in all it was one hell of a night and it we made every minute count while we were there. Big shout again to BODE for being nominated for two of the biggest awards in snowboarding!!!! To be along side some of the top pros in the world for such a big award is a huge honor….Way to go HOMIE!!!
The next morning we hit up the show to meet up with a few companies and friends. It was awesome to see companies like YES and CAPITA busy as hell while other brands were just snoozing to the crickets in their booths. After a few hours at the show we headed back to SLC later that afternoon.
Oh yeah if you are ever driving the 80 from Denver back SLC and you are thinking of stopping in ELK MOUNTAIN for gas….DON’T there is no gas stating there. The billboard is not very current and there has been nothing there for quite sometime. Big thanks for the guys that towed us to the next gas station. We are now sponsoring a crew of oil workers in Wyoming!!!!
